Courage

One sure thing.. if I have nobody, I have Jesus! He will meet us right where we are at in our lives and walk with us no matter how ugly the circumstances. I have learned that to be courageous is to simply rest in His sovereignty, trusting only in Him with the outcome and with my well-being.


Oh, that quality called courage
What a difference it can make
It will rise up deep within you
And the devil's power will break.

When the enemy's before you,
And he's taunting you with fear
That quality called courage
Will remind you God is near.

And with quiet reassurance
His Word will let you know
That His presence will be with you
No matter where you go.

Oh, that quality called courage
It cannot be denied.
When the giants of life assail you,
And defeat is but implied.

Turn your eyes and look at Jesus
Not on who or what's around,
And with that quality called courage
Watch those giants come tumbling down!
